What decisions do journalists have to make when they are working undercover? This week we look at the anatomy of an investigation, from a reporter’s perspective. How does an investigations start, and where does it end?

Our guests are Simon English, the Evening Standard’s Senior City Correspondent, and the Guardian’s multi-award winning business and investigative reporter Simon Goodley. As usual, The Lock In is hosted by Georgie Weedon, Head of Communications at Signal AI.

The Speakers

Simon Goodley is a renowned investigative reporter for The Guardian, having been awarded Business, Finance & Economics Journalist of the Year at the 2016 British Journalism Awards.

Simon English is Senior City Reporter for the Evening Standard. He writes a regular Tuesday column and covers banks and telecoms specifically.

Georgie Weedon is the Head of Communications at Signal AI. She was the third employee to join the launch team of Al Jazeera English, and went on to report and make films and a book on various subjects.
